Bridge Day to Benefit RSVP A Bridge Day to benefit the Okaloosa County Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will be held on Tuesday, February 8th at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Shoreline Village Mall in Destin. Cost is $16, which will include lunch consisting of salad, chicken or fish entrée, dessert and coffee/tea. Play is from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Doors will open at 9 a.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at in the RSVP office at Elder Services at 207 Hospital Drive (833-9165 ext 254) or by calling Jean Dutton at 862-3327. There is limited seating availability, so you are urged to get your tickets early. Cash prizes will be given to top players. There will also be a drawing for door prizes.

Learn the Art of Digital Photography
Location: Ft. Walton Beach
Power Digital Photography Workshop - Feb. 16 and 18, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Fort Walton Beach. The digital medium offers new and exciting ways to do old, familiar things. In this hands-on course, accomplished photographer Joe Veras will communicate that excitement while sharing the techniques and technology of digital photography to produce powerful images. Topics of discussion will include proper use of equipment, image capture and downloading, editing and altering images for photo albums, e-mail or printing. Participants will have the opportunity to digitally enhance their personal photos using PhotoShop 7.0. The cost of the course is $99. Breeze Kings Debut at Funky Blues Shack

The Breeze Kings, a traditional blues band from Atlanta, are making their debut in Destin, FL, at the Funky Blues Shack February 18th & 19th. The fun begins at 9:30 PM both nights and will end when the people stop dancing. The Breeze Kings are making waves in the blues scene because they have something special. Call it talent, dedication, charisma, passion, on-stage chemistry...whatever it is, this classic blues combo is one of Atlanta's most popular and sought after bands. The Breeze Kings have the look and sound of a 1950's Chicago juke joint band.
